Hello,please let me understand you,you need assistance to change your wallpaper on your dell mini. right these is how you go about it:

1. Right click on an empty portion of your screen,select Properties if you are using Windows XP, or Personalize if you are running Windows Vista Or Windows 7.

2.Select the Desktop Tab on Windows XP and pick your choice then click OK, on Windows Vista Select Wallpaper make your choice from the list select apply, and on Windows 7 pick your desired Wallpaper from desktop background and click to close.

NB: if you are using WINDOWS 7 STARTER this feature has been disabled (ie you cant change your wallpaper) to see which version of Operating System in use right click on Computer select Properties.

You have windows 7 starter or vista starter i am guessing , which means there is no option for changing the background, it has been disabled.

It can be enabled though through various hacks

download it and To use it, find a jpg wallpaper you like, then run Starter Wallpaper Changer as administrator (right click onb the file and click run as administrator). Select your jpg file, and change. Then log off, and log back in. Simple!

As you have not mentioned the Operating System, let me provide the general information.

But, please do not worry, I'll also provide you the alternate options.

In all the Windows Operating Systems, the Desktop Wallpaper can be changed by using the Display Properties option.

The option to change the Wallpaper is only not available with these Operating Systems:

1) Windows Vista Home basic.
2) Windows 7 Home basic.

However, here's the key.

You may change the Desktop Wallpaper by using any third party Applications.

This also applies to the Windows Vista and Windows 7 Home Basic Operating Systems.

mmmm Try this: right click on desktop.goto properties.goto desktop tab. You should see a list there. Pick one.

FOllow da steps
1>go 2 menu
2>themes
3>select whichever theme u want
4>go 2 options
5>edit
6>Select wallpaper as default

go to themes>edit>custom wallpaer (or something same)>browse to your chosen wallpaper...
