You can purchase a new screen on eBay by going to their main page and typing in the search box/window "Inspiron 6000 LCD". You will arrive at a page with many vendors to choose from.

Then, if you feel capable, you can replace the screen following the instructions in the Dell Service Manual located at this link,

or have some replace it for you.

once your screen is cracked, it's time to buy a new TV set. The cost to replace the screen will exceed the value of your set. Although the screen is cracked, it still has some value. List it on your local Craigslist and someone will buy it for parts. If this helps please sign my guestbook

If the crack is on the outside then you have cracked the digitizer and not the LCD screen. Buy it online then install

If there is picture in the TV then probably it is the protective screen that has cracked and not the picture tube.Please check carefully.

G1 screen is cracked

Cracked LCD screens are very common.They're just by nature,easy to crack. I would say,if your screen is usable ,and not particulary irritating,then just leave it as it is.But if you want a new screen and you want to know about repairing it, I can help you.

Cracked screen

I've had my enV for about a year, now. within the first month, I cracked its screen. I have both insurance and a warranty for it, but Verizon is unimpressed-- they suggested that I either purchase a new model, or perhaps buy the enV 2. it's whatever.

Crack inside of screen

This screen has multiple layers of plastic before you get to the main screen, if the picture isnt affected, you've only cracked oneof the plastic pieces, these are cheap to replace
