First let us remove the No Scan Option.
First try to Scan from HP director or HP Solution Center.
If it is scanning, perform the steps given below to resolve the issue.
Open HP solution center/HP Director: Click on settings: select scan settings from settings.: A Menu Appears. select scan to setup: a new page will appear: you will see all options on the left side: select all the options manually and click on the right arrow to move all the options from left to right side. after perfoming these steps. Restart the printer: and try scanning from printer now. now will be able to scan from printer itself.
open solution center click settings then scan settings. click scan to set up then select front panel list
a new window opens up showing double pane. on left handside are options to add to the right hand pane... once those options are added click update the device. re try the scan from the printer.

Make sure you have microsoft word installed i you computer.
But if you want to scan a document you can also scan it to HP Document Viewer.
First open solution center/HP Director and try to scan from document> then in the optin which says where do you want to send the scanned image> click on the drop down and check to see yu have the option of word> if yes select the option of word and try to scan.
If not Open HP Solution center/HP Director and go to settings> Scan settings> Scan to setup> Go to> Destination List> And click on Restore defaults and check to see if you have the option of word in the availabe list and front panel destination list> then click on apply ad ok and close all the windows and then try and check to see if you get the option of scan to word.
