My Blackberry storm application memory is low how do i increase it

Welcome to FixYa.

To have more storage capacity for your phone, delete unimportant SMS in your INBOX, OUTBOX and SENT ITEMS. Delete also unimportant pictures, videos, music and ringtones. The phone memory is relatively small and is shared to all data and other files that are stored in the phone. By deleting some of these will free you some memory.

Alternatively, you can also put in a Micro SD memory card
to your phone (Memory Card model depends to what your cell phone is compatible of, Micro SD is a sample), which will also increase its storage capacity. A Micro SD Card look something like the picture below. jas247_78.jpg

A 16GB Micro SD is available at AMAZON http://astore.amazon.com/doityousol-20/detail/B001L1H0SC

I just insert a 4G micro card and says card error. Everything else works fine for 3 years ( never put a sd card before ). Thank you in advance Miguel

Check your mini SD card and see if it has the SDHC (high capacity) logo on it. Originally SD cards, including the mini SD, had a 2GB limit by protocol. The DC10 was introduced when this was the most advanced protocol. Since then the SDHC protocol has been introduced, but the DC10 is not compatible with SDHC. You need to get a mini SD, 2GB maximum capacity.

Formatting issue

The memory might be able to be saved. but if you have attempted to format it most likely the data is gone because that is what formating does. Now you can get an 8GB Micro SD for about 15$ so I would buy a couple and always back up important data daily. Thanks,
Lee

My blackberry stopped working after i put a micro sd card in

I would be more concerned as to the source you chose for the music and pictures you loaded onto your micro sd card, as depending upon the KIND of music and pictures and the tendency of such sources as you chose to provide your system with viruses..........

Remove the SD card, immediately and get your phone scanned for viruses along with your PC given the fact that all are apparently infected.

My blackberry stopped working after i put a micro sd card in

did you format the card first... this might help. It could be too much memory. I put an old SD card in from a former phone and it was doing the same thing...powering on and off repeatedly.

The Samsung Gravity doesn't support the Micro SD HC (High Capacity) cards, just the regular Micro SD cards. Yes, it sucks.
