Microsoft Office Word will help him with that, AND keep a record of his projects. Just pick Tools/ letters and mailings/ envelopes and lables.

How do I print envelopes with my hp c6180

There are 2 things that need to be done. 1. You need to make sure your document is set up correctly.
If you use MS Word 2003, go to Tools, then Letters and Mailings, then Envelopes and Labels to create your envelope. For Word 2007/2010, http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/how-to-print-envelopes-in-word-2007.html.

2. When you select print go to preferences. From there you will need to set the paper type to envelope. On the application side, you will typically need to make sure your document size is that of an envelope.

  • Slide an envelope into the tray, with the envelope flap up and to the left (print side down), until it stops.
  • Adjust the paper-width guide against the envelope.
  • Be careful not to bend the envelope.

Please teach me how to use my HPF4185 to print envelopes. Thanks.

Hi

Use the product software, also known as the printer driver, to change the print settings for your envelope size and type. Then, use the Envelopes and Labels tool in Microsoft Word to select your envelope size.

Step one: Adjust the print settings

-In Microsoft Word, click File , and then click Print .
-Make sure that your product is in the Name drop-down list box, and then click Properties .
-Click the Features tab, or the Paper/Quality tab.
-Select an envelope size from the Size drop-down list.
-If the required paper size is not in the drop-down list, follow these steps to create a custom paper size.
-Select Custom from the drop-down list.
-In the Custom Paper Size dialog box, type a name for the new custom size.
-In the Width and Height boxes, type the dimensions.
-Select the unit of measurement, and then click Save .
-Click OK to close the Custom Paper Size dialog box, and then click OK again to close the Properties dialog box.
NOTE: You must exit the Properties dialog box to apply your changes.
Open the Properties dialog box again, and select the new custom size from the Size drop-down list.
-Select the paper type.
-In the Paper Type or Type is drop down list, click More .
-Click the desired paper type, and then click OK .
-Select the paper source from the Paper Source drop-down list.
-Change any other settings, and then click OK to close the Properties dialog box.

Step two: Set the correct envelope size

-Set the correct envelope size in the Envelopes and Labels dialog box before printing envelopes.
-In Microsoft Word, click Tools , click Letters and Mailings , and then click Envelopes and Labels .
-In the Envelopes and Labels dialog box, click the Envelopes tab.
-Click Options .
-From the Envelope size drop-down list, select the required paper size. If you created a custom paper size, select the new custom paper size from the drop-down list.
-Click OK , and then click Close to close the Envelopes and Labels dialog box.
-Click File , and then click Print to print the envelope.
NOTE: When you finish printing the envelopes, return the paper size and the paper type settings to the defaults.

How do I print envelope with address?

This has to be done through an application like Microsoft Word. For instance on Office 2007 you would select the Mailings tab then click on Envelopes to specify the address etc. In previous versions you would have had to click on the Tools menu then Letters and Mailings then Envelopes and Labels. Once you've got all the information you want printed on the envelope Place the envelope in the printer in the exact configuration shown on the printer. Should have a feed on the side, look for the envelope symbol. Print and you'll be good to go. (:

Printing

Check on your color (not mono) ink levels. If they are low, this could cause this.

Technical info: On this printer, envelope text is printed in "composite black" which means we mix the colored inks to make black. This is done for envelopes and not letters because of the ink properties which resist water and smear. If one of the colors is low, you'll get something other than black.

Need to print a half-fold card envelope with HP Photosmart C4480

I'm printing wedding invitation envelopes (or A6) and had to set both my C4480 and psc1315 to a regular size 8.5x11 letter size but changed my margins to reflect the smaller size for my envelope with the left side of the screen being the more narrow margin. After adjusting the top margin accordingly, I fed the envelopes, flap side down and straight into the printer and voila...envelope addresses are printed. Good luck. Blu

HP phottosmart 4380

If you are printing an envelope for a letter, In Microsoft Word 2003, click on Tools, Letters and Mailings, Envelopes and Mailings, and go from there. If it does not select the address, highlight it first. If you want to print an envelope that is not corresponding to a letter, type it in Microsoft Word and carry on with the same procedure. You will have to test an envelope to see which orientation works so that the front, back and flap are inserted properly. Usually the default is a #10 envelope. There is usually a movable plastic guide to fit an envelope in. Although I have not worked with this particular printer, the procedure is universal.
