You can goto BIOS setup be pressing DEL, ESC, or one of the "F" [function} keys just before " memory count " finishes. To see what is turn 'on' or 'off' look through the menus & submenus.look for video [ ON if you have 'on board' video and off if you have a EXTERNAL video card.]
temperaty take EVERYTHING out by unpluging the wires going to computer (mother board) [cd's, h/d, floppy drive, and any other extras] You can keep them 'dangling' from e.i. floppy, cds [rom, ram, dvd etc.] keep the memory, display adapter (if you have a EXTERNAL video card) and boot up the computer. You must see the memory "count up" in DOS (black screen with numbers running on left side of screen) .At first if the machine does not turn on, replace the video card. Then after UNPLUGING a/c power put back ONE piece of equipment at a time (of cause you will replug a/c power)and rebooting.
