I've deliberately avoided answering your question for a few days to see whether someone else had located a gumstick battery charger, but clearly they have drawn a blank as well. They were never a common item even when Sony sold them new.

You may wish to do as I do: I use broken MD players as chargers. There are millions of MD units lying unused, most are worthless now and many are broken (typically the fatal TOC error). As a result it's easy to get them for nothing on local FreeCycle and Freegle groups and often they come with spare discs, batteries and other accessories. best of all, most of them are still in working order so you may even end up with a free upgrade. Every bit of MD gear I own has come from FreeCycle and Freegle except for my superb MZ-n910 which remains in regular use.

As luck would have it, I was about to hit the "Post Solution" button when I found this one on eBay. It wasn't there when I last looked! it will hold two gumstick batteries.

I hope that my answer has been of use, please take a moment to rate my reply.

Can't find charger for sharp mdms 722

They are all over eBay, and you can get one at any electronics store or hardware store. Just be sure to match the power needed (it is printed on your Sharp), the plug and the polarity. They go for $8-15.

Where do I find/ buy a rechargeable Battery for my SHARP MD-MT877H ?

It's a AD-N55BT, the identity of which is found on page 13 of the manual http://www.minidisc.org/manuals/sharp_MDMT877200.pdf .

A simple web or eBay search for that model will turn some up.

Nh-10wm problems

The "gumstick" battery you're referring to is like ALL other rechargeables in that it does not last forever. If you're certain that the charger is working then just buy another battery.

If you're in the UK then I highly recommend the Small Battery Company. Be careful if purchasing from Amazon Marketplace or eBay as there are plenty of underperforming fakes around.

Sharp MD MT-80H(S) not playing sony minidisc 80

I had a similar problem after not using player for several months - "Can't read" message displayed every time I put a recorded minidisc in the player. Seem to have solved it (maybe only temporarily) by opening the player, inserting little finger in at the righthand front and sliding movable mechanism from side to side. It looks to slide on a bar which had maybe picked up dirt or damp. Also tried blowing a warm hairdryer into the slot for a minute or two (take disc out first!) to remove any damp. Working OK at the moment.
