Open the main door, locate the 2 white fabric coated wires, they go down towards the base of the heater. This is your igniter, usually a 5/16 nut driver will be the tool you need to remove it.
heater shows power, I had to replace three mother board according to tec. Still no sign of egniting. All it does is shows code of bd? what is that? do i need to reset something. help prices are killing me.
The last I checked a kit was available for this conversion.

I looked up the owners manual for the Hayward H400 heater and it did not list the "ob" indication. For this reason I would call the and they likely can help you out.
