Software/driver panasonic i have a video cam corder name panasonic but i canot trnsfer or even play in my pc,my pc is hp vista,the model of my video camera is panasonic nv-gs6 so pls can you help me to solve thus problem?or were can i download a software for my video camera.... im hoping for your reply asap.. thnx a lot, my email add is [email protected]

Do you mean you have lost driver for a camcorder that you connect to your laptop
via usb

or do you mean the driver for an internal webcam

if it is a camcorder then you should be able to go to the website of the name of the camcorder
and download the driver and software from there

so if it is a cannon camcorder go to www.cannon.com


and look for downloads for camcorders then find your model
please make sure you find the correct drivers for the operating system that you are using
so if you are using xp please look for the driver for xp
if you are using vista please look for the driver for vista

Please mention what operating Windows your are using in laptop. Windows xp or vista.

Generally when you connect the camera via USB Windows XP and Vista activate native drivers and the camera becomes visible under "My Computer" (XP) or "Computer" (Vista) as a removable drive. However, probably will not be visible by capture software. In that case you would need to use a DV interface cable otherwise known as firewire and have the camcorder in playback mode.

all you have to do is try to connect your cam corder in win xp operating system..if its work in that OS, im sure your cam corder is for win xp only not for a win vista os.. just try it..thanks..

I think that the following are to be taken care of first:
1.Cam corder to pc cable is properly connected.Some call it as 1384 connection also.
2.Cam corder should also be run on play mode for transmitting a/v signals to pc to decipher.
3.Ur pc also should have been installed with codec for processing the signals .
4.Your pc also should be usb.2.0 capable.
5.The media on the cam should not be protected for free playing along with pc.
If all the above are checked you would have cracked clear right.
