Magnavox 26mf23id/37 will not stay on

Now,hook ur tv Air broscasting incommig tv signal.Give it power.Now,tv turn on have picture flashes few sec. than dies just have only sound left?Yes,than the long LCD inverter board is dead.The long LCD inverter board,help the LCD screen to get a baklight to get a picture.Tries websites like shopjimmy.com,Ebay,com to buy a refurbish LCD inverter board for the replacement.

If you have any type of converter on the tv unplug both tv and box and let sit for about 5 minutes and plug it back in

hitachi is known for its problems and the best solution is to call a repairman out to repair it properly.i know thats not much help but its the only sure way to fix it and fix it right

have power board checked -- sounds like a short in the transformer

Look for capacitors that are bulged and going bad, that is a common symptom when they fair, either the set won't come on unless its warmed up or it will shut down after it run for awhile

Trying unppluging wait one minute and plug in again.

Try cleaning the air filter and see if that solves the problem.

I put heat-sinks on U14 and the regulator above it and the TV has been running fine all day. Always shut off after 14-30 minutes before. Heatsinks were just 1/2" x 1" metal strips with silicon thermal compound that I taped up to hold in place to temporarily test, as it is obviously a heat related problem.
