I get a lot of "bad disc" error messages with good discs. They often work after 3-10 tries. Can I fix this problem? Is it just a dirty lens?

Try cleaning the head of the DVD and seeif this helps make sure all the connectors are tight in the main board.
If not the optical headd is getting weak or the main motherboard has errors.

I get the message "error 11". What does it mean?

Error 11 is disk dirty, disc scratched, or mechanical failure. Try a lens cleaner. If that does not work, the CD player is bad.

Hope helps.

What is error 12

That is a Pioneer error saying that it can't read the disc. It could be bad discs or a dirty, scratched or misadjusted head or lens. I hope it's bad discs for your sake. Repairing and adjusting the unit could cost more than $100. Not really worth it for such an old unit. If you know the discs are good, you can try a CD lens cleaning disc available at stores like Walmart (dvd dr lens cleaner, Model#: 7010500, $14.88).
Hope this helps!

Cannot Read Disc?

I would say get a cleaning CD with the bristles on the Cd to clean the lens of the Wii. When you get it all it does is spin in the CD tray and clean the lens inside the CD tray. That should fix your problem the lens is probably dirty. If it doesn't leave a comment and ill try to help again.

'bad disc' error message comes up every time I

Your optical pickup drive lens is dirty or needs to be replaced.  Run a DVD disc cleaning kit through it and see if that helps.  If not, then you have to open this thing up and clean the lens with a bit of rubbing alcohol and then try.  If that don't work you can either kick it to the curb or replace the optical lens.

Getting "Bad Disc" message after Loading message...

If you've had it a long time and used it often, could be the lens is dirty or something wore down and it should be trashed since newer players have more features like usb ports.
