well renda, when you drop an apple ipod nano 4gb mp3 player in water its bound to stop working even if its new so get a new one would be my solution.

HEres what u have to do if ur Ipod nano froze on main screen try turning it off then shorten off the bateryes or if that does not work dont touch it for some hours if u do this then it will work if it doesnt work tell me

when it freezes like that you either have to much memory on it but when they came out with those nanos they froze alot and there isnt really anything to do besides try to let the battery die and turn it on again

Check your battery. I feel the battery has gone. Dead as a dodo, as the saying goes.

Had the same problem at the weekend there, and my friend told me to hold the menu button and the centre button down at the same time for around 10-15secs, and this will reboot the ipod. Hope this helps you also :)

try holding the middle button and menu for like 40 seconds and the apple logo should show up and ask you to plug it into itunes. make sure itunes is open and is the newest version when you plug the nano in.

try pressing and holding the center and menu buttons both at once until the apple logo shows up.. thats the normal troubleshooting routine.

First make sure your hold switch isn't on. It's on the top or bottom and slides back and forth. It needs to be switched to the left. Once it is to the left, here's how you reset:

You can reset your ipod by holding down the menu and select (round button in the center) buttons down for at least 10 seconds. You'll see an apple logo flash, that's when you stop pressing the buttons. It will shut off, then back on.
