PIctures is there any way i can take pictures black and white? or edit them in any otherway?

Most digital cameras cannot take black and white photos. You need to download the photos to your computer and use a photo editing program to convert the color photos to black and white.

Best is to reduce all colour levels and check if the black and white picture is good on the monitor, If this is incorrect then then the hardware sectiion is faulty and colour purity will not be there in any settings.
Also once this is corrected the colour tint can be corrected by checking with different shades and then check with landscapes to correct.

you can't shoot in black and white but you can take a picture and change it to black and white.after taking your picture use the color edit option at playback.arrow right or left to choose the picture then press the ok button.use the right and left arows again to select desired color and press the ok button again.this will save a seperate image copy of you original only in black and white.

According to your product’s manual, available from the manufacturer’s website at http://www.olympusamerica.com/files/Stylus%20300&400%20Digital%20Basic%20Manual.pdf, you should first take the picture as normal. Then in playback mode, navigate to the edit tab and select Black & White. This will save a new picture in black and white.

After checking out the owner's manual for that device I do not believe that this camera supports taking pictures in black and white. I believe that the only option you will have in this situation is editing the pictures once they have been transferred to the PC.
