You can't post conmments that contain an email address.
Check the lights first. the dsl light must be solid. if there is no dsl
light better check your adsl line or connection to the line. you might
need your router reconfigured too.

An IP address that begins with 169 usually means you are having some temporary problem with your local (nearest) router or modem finding your IP address automatically from your ISP.
If you're at home (nobody else is on the network you use to get out to the 'net), then it's OK to change things around for your own sake.
I'm also assuming you're on a broadband network, and not dial-up, or another type of network that may require special IP address settings. If you are, or don't know, it doesn't hurt to call them and find out.
No matter what internet browser you like to use, Windows Internet Explorer's settings control how you 'get out' to the 'net. So, do the following:
Check your Windows Internet Explorer Options to make sure they're set to automatically find an IP address for you. Open 'Internet Explorer'--click on the 'Tools' button, then click on the bottom item 'Internet Options'; once it opens, then click on the 'Connections' tab, then click down where it says 'LAN settings'. Your 'Local Area Network' settings window should pop up. Just make sure 'Automatically Detect Settings' is the ONLY thing checked. AGAIN, IF YOU'RE IN AN OFFICE ENVIRONMENT, DON'T DO THIS, CALL YOUR OFFICE NETWORK TECHNICIAN! Sorry for the CAPS, but that's very important, because it's normal, in fact very important, that the settings any local office net-tech has put there remain the same--and they're often quite different, so he's the authority, not me!
Accept the 'Automatic' settings by clicking 'OK', then 'OK' again, in standard 'Windows' fashion.
Power off your router and modem by unplugging the power cable (not the network cable) from the back of each);
Wait about 10-20 seconds, then power on your router first, waiting a few seconds, then plug in your modem. Let each find their respective IP addresses automatically.
Close out of Internet Explorer, then wait until your router and/or modem LEDs are all on and blinking randomly.
Re-open Internet Explorer. You should be up and running.
Have you isolated the problem by directly plugging your computer directly to your modem, bypassing your router? If you have done this but still cannot browse some websites, then this is a DNS problem with your Internet Provider. Try using Open DNS, 208.67.220.220 as Primary and 208.67.222.222 as secondary. Then try to browse again. But if you have plugged directly to the modem and was able to access those websites, then there is a restriction on your router and you may need to press and hold the reset button to reset it back to factory defaults.
Unplug and plug your internet access back in, then try again, reboot your computer. If it still doesn't work, it's probably the web site. You may also be using the web site during peak hours. Try again a little later
Would be nice to know your operating system, but, here goes. The router doesn't keep the "home page" It's in your internet explorer. Open up internet explorer and go to Yahoo's home page you want to make as your new home-page. Click on the TOOLS tab at the top. Scroll down to INTERNET OPTIONS and the big block will open up. Since your already on Yahoo's page you want to save, just click on "Use Current" to save the present page. Next time you open up Internet Explorer, your page will pop up. Easier done than said I'll bet.
try admin in the user name and admin in password, both in lower case. If that doesn't work then disconnect all the devices from the router. disconnect the modem also. Reset the router for 30 seconds again. after pressing reset, unplug the power to the router and plug it back in. wait for a minute. now try to open the router page. try admin in password. If that doesn't work, then change the computer, try on other computer or delete the browser history, delete files and try it again. If you are using Internet explorer, then go to tools , internet option, delete cookies, delete history, delete temporary internet files. Try again. Click Here for more information about routers and networking

Call the internet provider tech support phone number and get assistance in step by step configuring your network.
You will have to open Internet Explore , type in your router IP number (something like 192.168.0.1) and set up the network again.
A phone operator will follow you in doing this.
If you want to do it yourself you find instructions on haw to access router on Internet Explorer, and how to configure your network on router user manual.
