Does one of these situations apply to you?

The Status LED light is Red and the Toner lights are OFF (Check Smart Panel for message)

  • A Paper Jam has occurred.
  • The Front, Top, or Back Cover is open.
  • There is no paper in the Paper Tray.
  • There is a problem with the Waste Toner container.
  • A major error has occured.

The Status LED light is Blinking/Flashing Red and the Toner light(s) are Red

  • The Toner cartridge(s) that are Red need to be replaced. (Can still be used to print, but quality is unreliable)

The Status LED light is Red and the Toner light(s) are Red

  • The Toner cartridge(s) that are Red need to be replaced. (Printing is not available)
  • The Toner cartridge(s) are not installed properly.

SOURCE: Samsung CLP-300 Printer has red light on, won't print, don't see any paper jam

  1. Close all the covers.
  2. Check in the paper tray for paper.
  3. Check for the toner cartridge.
  4. Remove paper tray, toner cartridge and open the back cover for any paper jam.
  5. Please make sure that only supported paper type and size is loaded.
  6. If printer prints after opening and closing the door, try to load different type of paper.
  7. Disconnect the pritner from the computer, and restart the printer.
  8. If Red Light lits up right away, there's a possible paper sensor problem.
  9. If you see a Green Light, press and hold down "Cancel" button for 4 seconds and then let it go.
  10. If it prints the demo page fine, connect the printer cable to a different port or replace the printer cable.
  11. If it goes back to Red Light, pick-up roller inside the printer is defective.

Note if you have the latest 2009-version of the clp-315 printer it's important you get the newest version of the resetchip.Since the old ones doesn't work with the new.

simple_life_2 and buyorsell66 sells nice items on ebay for this kind of stuff.

Low heat error comes from the fuser unit, there is a thermostat on the fuser change that and it will work

Hi Michael,

run a supplier infor print by holding down the button for 5 sec and release.

check and see if all the color toner has already run low.

once a toner is 0%. it is adviceable to replace it.

Hi,

you may want to run a repair on the printer driver. by going to windows START -> all programs -> Samsung CLP 310 -> Maintenece - > repair and follow the onscreen next till finish.

this could help some time when you swap USB cable or port or PCA main been replace or updated.

My clp 315w won't print and just comes up with a red light after test sequance. when i ask it to print a test page by holding down the control button it won't and same red light comes on.
You have to reset your printer or repalce chip when you refill the toner cartridges

My samsung 315 clp has status LED red light on.
It is a color laser printer.it has 4 toner cartridge(1)black(2)magenta(3)cyan(4)yellow all cartridge is missing or toner finished.Please purchase full set toner.All toner cartridge has a image sensor.When toner is run out then it is out of work.
