If you have the money, there are plenty of products on the market that offer excellent protection for your home, but are being used primarily for home improvement stores. You will have to be careful to read the labels on these products, to make sure that they contain no Resurfacer. If you have the money, then go for a product that has a higher price range, but the product is as strong as possible. At the same time, if you can afford a little less, then be careful to buy a quality product, because the last thing you want is to buy a product that cannot bond to your wood. While there are many very affordable brands of products, some of the more expensive ones may not be as strong as their cheaper cousins and may not have the Resurfacer. Some of the cheaper products may also contain Formaldehyde, which again, may have to be listed as a carcinogen, and may cause harm to your family. So the best glue for bonding wood to wood is not really the spray you use to stick a piece of plywood down, but something that contain Resurfacer. While it is not a completely "green" product, it is as green as the best alternatives that you can get, and is the next best thing to a self-healing product. How can you use wood glue to make slime? You are probably thinking that using wood glue to make slime will mean using lard, fat or grease. Don't worry - it's not the same as the stuff they use in sausage making! Lard and fat are simple glues, not strong enough to hold the weight of a wood plank. Wood glue is usually made from natural ingredients such as beeswax, gelatin, and/or mineral oil. Wood glue can be used to glue anything together, from wood to concrete to metal, paper to cardboard. Remember, when making any type of final product, whether for personal use or for commercial uses, it is important to follow all safety guidelines. Look for the ABC's of wood glue safety: Never apply glue to your skin. Allergic reactions to wood glue can happen quickly and easily. If you're going to be painting or gluing something over a color, be sure to first test the color on a piece of fabric before attempting to stick the item to your skin. Having a second color on hand could save you from potential mishaps. As with any other type of glue, if you are unsure if the item you are working with is food grade, don't use it. You could be putting someone's life at risk. They have all the signs of food grade material; these include:

How to fix a striped door hinge screw

Hinge is loose on door so you go to tighten the screw and oops it won't tighten. Not a good idea to put a fatter screw in its place cause the screw head won't sit right and will cause other problems putting the same size screw but longer might work but not always possible. Here is the fix.
  1. Support door as to not to stress other hinge.
  2. Remove screws from hinge plate
  3. Apply wood glue to holes, Insert wood splinters, tooth picks, wooden match sticks into screw holes until tight.
  4. Allow wood glue to dry, trim flush.
  5. Re-install wood screws, until snug, don't over tighten.
Now good as new. I hope this trick of the trade saves you money and time.

Is it possible to fix a (punched in) hole/crack in a hollow wooden bedroom door? I really don’t want to have to replace the whole door!

Doors are not that expensive, you can get pre-hung units or door blanks, You can try to repair it with Elmers or quick tite bond wood glue but you are going to end up drilling holes that are small in order to place a slat behind the hole to pull on to get a good bond with the glue. In order to do that you drill a 1/2 inch hole about one inch from the edge of the crack, use a popsicle stick and tie a string around the middle of it, slide the stick into the hole you drilled and then apply glue to the crack. Pull on the string to bring pressure from the back side of the crack to the joint you glued. Keep doing this until you get all the way around the crack. You can use new sticks each time. Wipe off the excess glue before it dries. you can then either patch the holes with a wood putty by using the same technique with the sticks or get laminating paper to cover the holes.

How to remove crazy glue from wood

If you go to a craft store, down their stains/glues/paint isle there will be a very very small section that has removers. I would suggest Goop Gone (I think that is the name of it). Make sure to check the back and see if it will damage wood. My sister recently got a nice mahogny door from http://www.kohlen.com.au and her three year old wiped glue (and who knows what) all over it. She was able to get it all off. Also, don't use magic eraser on it! (The soaps in it may damage the paint on the wood!)

I want to ask how can I stitch my shoes together again and clean it

Most shoes are not stiched where yours are coming apart, they are just glued. I would try some super glue or heavy duty epoxy glue. things like normal white glue wood glue or things like that wont work because the area will be constantly flexing. As for a good cleaner just use a good dish soap that says it works on grease/oil, and scrub them in the sink and let them soak for awhile before you rinse them off.

We have a Bosch SHE45M06UC/50 in an island with a granite countertop. It is not attached and so moves. How do we attach it to the granite countertop? Or how do we attach it????

You glue on a wood strip, to the underside of the counter, then screw into that. Use construction adhesive. The wood strip needs to stick down no further than the counter edge treatment, so you normally cannot see this wood strip.

Glue Gun Support

Plug the glue gun into an electrical outlet. Make sure it is placed in a secure place, away from flammable items. As the glue gun heats up, a little bit of glue might drip from the end so you won’t want to leave it on a wood table or on carpet. Insert a glue stick into the back of the glue gun. If the glue gun already has a glue stick in the chamber, keep a second one in reserve nearby. Gather the materials you want to glue together. Hot glue works exceptionally well on thick fabrics, dried flowers, Styrofoam, wood and plastics. Since it leaves a thicker residue, it is not the best choice for thin papers, fabrics and ceramics. Check to see if the glue in the gun has melted by squeezing the trigger slightly and touching the tip to a test piece of paper. If the glue comes out easily, the glue gun has heated up fully. If the trigger is hard to pull, wait a minute more for the gun to heat more completely. Pick up the glue gun and squeeze the trigger slightly while you draw a thin line on one side of the item to be glued. Immediately place the other object to be glued on the glue line, pressing firmly. Hold the two pieces together for about 15 seconds. Test to see if the item still holds when you remove one hand. Let the item set for a few minutes in order to “cure.” Once the glue has dried fully, use a fingernail to scrape away any of the excess glue.
