Unlock region code for Samsung bd-f5500

The copyright protection seems to be embedded in the firmware and is tied into the whole system. I added a fan to my BD-E5900 and the extra draw of power on the board caused the copyright protection to not allow Blurays to play.

How unlock Samsung BD-E5900

If you wantto play DVDs from any region you maybe able to upgrade the firmware to make itregion free BUT if you make a mistake or installed the wrong firmware theplayer will be a piece of junk.
The best solution to make the player region free is to install a piece ofsoftware (Passkey for DVD) that allows you to play DVDs from any region andPasskey for Blu-ray that allows you to play Blu-rays from any region. There areseveral available on the Internet but my favourite is DVD-Region Free From: -

BD-P3600 region code change from B to All A,B,C I have blu-rae movire in both A and B formats and can not view that do to the region lock on my blu-rae player rang samsung onlt to be told to go look on the...

The region is hard coded into the blu-ray. A blu-ray purchased in Canada or the US cannot be made to accept all regions. You need a unit from another country like Europe or Australia.
