Please use New rechargeable batteries now as old one has lost ability to store charge for longer time.

You should use rechargeable AA batteries approx 1800 ~ 2400 MA.

Perhaps you have set the camera to a record mode other than Auto. Twilight mode for example, does not activate flash so as to set the camera on a tripod and shoot dark landscapes.

Check your camera record mode, and use auto or portrait mode, which they usually activate flash when there is not enough light.

When I turn my Syber shot 6.0 mega pixels on it shows only a white or dark display. The fotos taken are the same. It seems that something is not opening the lens. What is the problem and how can I fix it?
