If you are not familiar with removal, and rebuilds, i would strongly suggest you take it to a small engine repair facility. Carbs can be tricky to get seated and adjusted well.
Cetain breathers are what they cakk duck valves, they will allow air one way, however they will not allow pressure out, they are designed to work this way, if it is flooding that bad it is more likley the inlet needle in the carb leaking.
if you are running the engine at full CHOKE, then it is flooding the engine, but if you meant off full choke, then the carb is still stopped up. Try soaking in carb cleaner overnight after removing jet & all rubber goods. HOPE THIS HELPS.
I have a Coleman Powermate 5000 with 10 HP Tecumseh engine. It is very hard to get started. once started runs great . But when you shut it off and try to restart it it will not start.
I have plenty of fire. I also replace the carb.
I still have problems getting it started. I tried to start it with out the filter also. What can i try next?
try spraying starting fluid in to carb and crank away, itf it woirks then youi need carb work,if it does nothing then check the spark, then the comprussion, should be over one hundred
this model has one fuel shut ff switch it's on the tank.if it's turned on then fuel is reaching the carb.
you should check oil level, and check if there is any spark in it.
