SOURCE: how to reset waste ink absorber full ip3300 warning?

I have the same problem, but Jet Tec waste inks. When I first replaced black (pgi 5bk)-don't forget to place the small chip from the original cartridge to replacement; it worked fine. But now, it has a lot of problems because this **** printer from canon only want original inks (and the original are tooooooooo expensive). I'll never bought anything else from canon.

SOURCE: Waste ink absorber on canon iP 1600

I tried a few times... I have done this alot to many different canon printers. This is what worked for me.

1. Unplug AC (and usb just for good measure)
2. Hold Start while plugging in...
3. While still holding Start press Resume twice.
4. This then allows for Removal of Ink Cartridges(if you are past the limit)... a very important step apparently.
5. Now repeat Step 1... Step 2
6. Now press the Resume 4 times (only blinks for 1st two presses !)
7. Should be ready...

Good luck. I was very happy when this worked for me.

How do I do a waste ink bypass to recycle ink from waste tank to avoid it getting full again?

There is a small tube running from the pump to the waste ink pads. If you connect another tube to that, you would be able to run it out to an external bottle. Please note this won't stop the waste ink counter from doing it's thing.

Canon MP460 Printer - the ink absorber is almost full. What do I do?

Before the waste ink absorber becomes completely full, contact a Canon service representative. (You will need to replace a particular part of the printer.) Canon recommends that you call for service as soon as this error occurs. Once the waste ink absorber becomes completely full, printing cannot be performed until the Waste ink tank is replaced.

How do you gain access to the "used ink tank" on the Canon i560?

Well Fay after much research, the best answers I've seen actually came from other experts on this website. The link below will take you to another Fixya page with several, very good solutions to the same problem you have. My personal favorite was soaking up waste ink from the pad with kleenex or some other absorbent material as you won't need to take apart your machine. You merely remove the ink cartridges and carriage to gain access to the pad/sponge that Canon calls it's waste tank. I do wish you well and hope you come back to let me know if you were able to fix your machine.

The waste ink tank is full. Where is it located?

This is something that needs to be done by a service department..... however it may not be full. Cannon has a 3 year clock on these so you may be able to clear the error code and continue printing.

Waste Error Reset
1: Power off printer
2: Hold Resume button then press and hold POWER, the beeper will sound once.
3: Hold POWER and release RESUME
4: Press RESUME twice
5: When the indicator lights steady, press RESUME three(3) times. The indicator should be orange.
6: Press Power to set data

Printer says ''waste Ink absorber is full'' see service center

This is what the manual says: Ink used for cleaning is absorbed in a waste ink absorber placed in the machine. Press [OK] to cancel the error so that you can continue printing. Once the waste ink absorber becomes completely full, printing cannot be done until the waste ink absorber is replaced.
Canon recommends to contact a Canon service representative as soon as possible.
