Hi
Descaling the Palazzo: The Palazzo is programmed to descale the boilers on its own, when set in the correct mode. You program the machine to descale it's self, do the following. With the machine turned on, push and hold the left 2 buttons (clean and pre-ground). This should light the top right red indicator light. Mix your descaling crystals in 32 to 48 oz in your water tank. Stir until they are completely dissolved in the water. Next, have a container that can handle about 2 quarts of water under the steam wand, or have the machine positioned next to a sink. Next open the steam knob on the right side of the machine. You should hear the pump turn on and pump about 2 to 3 oz's. of water through the wand into the container. The pump should turn off and there will be a wait of about 2 minutes. The pump should turn on again and more water will come out. It will do this until it has completely drained the water tank. Do not interrupt this cycle until the machine has stopped on its own. When it does stop, all lights on the bottom will flash. Rinse out the water tank and refill with fresh water. Place the water tank on the machine again, and then close, and then open the steam knob again and let the water just flow through the boilers until it is emptied by the machine. Don't turn off anything until the machine stops on its own. This will clear the descale light. Refill the water tank again with fresh water and push the water button on the right. It will light(very dim), then open the steam knob again/ The red light will go out and it will start to heat and your ready to go.

If you finished descaling the machine is when you usually get these lights. You need to push the water button and then open the steam knob to reprime the pump and flow meter. If the flow meter doesn't spin these lights will not change. That means you have a cloged flow meter and it has to be cleaned.
HI Did you push the water button, before you opened the knob? When you finished descaling did the lights change? On any compact machine you need the let the pump stop on its own. Then go to the next part, rinsing. Again letting the machine stop on its own. Pump will stop and the lights will change. Once the machine has finished rinsing. You will have a steady water light and a blinking green light. Put your tank back on with fresh water, then push the water button(far right), then open the knob for water. The red light should go out, and the machine will heat again.
Hi 110v and 220v are not the same. If the pump starts when you turn ton the machine the steam knob is out of adjustment. If you turn the knob to far you can do this. Remember that the steam knob does not close the steam off. It only pushes a needle with a seat on it to open. When you turn the valve off it allows the needle with a seat to stop the steam. Turning to far only moves the valve farther from the needle and pretty soon it will not open the needle.
First check the end of the spout to make sure it is not blocked, also check the parnello for blockage. If both of those are clear and when the knob is open you can hear the pump trying to work then it is blocked at either at the valve entrance or at the wand entrance.
Hi He has the first part correct, but when you rinse the machine with fresh water the machine needs to quit on its own and you will know this when the descale light is off, but you will have a flashing green light and a steady red light over the water drop. Refill the water tank, the close the steam knob and then open it again. This will clear the red light and then the machine will start heating. IMPORTANT on any automatic machine is when the water tank is off the machine don't do anything with the beans. A chip of bean in the water receptacle can be a big problem for the machine.
The machine is still stuck in the descaling cycle. You must open the steam valve and let all the liquid drain from the tank. This takes approx. 45 min. because it comes out intermittenly. After this is complete all the front buttons will flash. Close the steam valve, rinse the tank, then fill it with fresh water. Open the valve again and let all the water drain from the tank again. This time it will only take a couple of minutes. After it has completed close the valve and the machine will return to normal operation.
