Hi All, I have Lenovo 3000 Y410 series laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate installed. From last few days I am experiencing problem with the embedded Optiarc DVD writer. The writer is not accepting any external Sony / Moserbear / Intex / Mitsubishi CDs or DVDs and ignoring them. Whenever I insert any fully compiled CD or DVD I always see blank CD/DVD. Please help to get this issue sorted. Thanks, Amar Narkhede

Lenovo has not yet released drivers for Y410 which are compatible for Windows 7 OS. From time to time you might want to check on this LINK if there's any driver update.

1.Boot from (Win 7) disk>select language>accept license terms and agreements>advance disk drive options>select from a list of partitions available there 2.Check if the “Logical Disk Manager “ and “Logical Disk Manager Administrative Service” are automatic and started under services.msc, and 3.To go to the following link and test the hard drive of the notebook: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-70578
