The cold water valve could be faulty. It's quite possible that the valves haven't changed. If you don't need hot water put the HOT hose on the COLD tap and wash on 'hot' or 'warm' you'll need to rinse on hot or warm or the machine wont open the 'hot' valve which is now delivering cold water!!!! The water inlet valve where the water supply connects to the washer is stuck open because of sediment or wear. Replace it or clean it out.

It is very possible for it to be a valve failur as these machines have a temperature control incommon, It recieves voltatge through the temp control.

F-20 error code in Whirlpool Duet Sport washing machine is indication of inadequate water supply. Check both hot and cold water supply lines to make sure machine gets enough water intake. If you do not have a hot water supply to the machine you can only run it with the cold temperature setting. This machine does not have an internal water heater and relies on the hot water supply from the house water heater.

Mixing valve should lock out the hot water when on the cold water setting. Either your hoses are crossed, or the mixing valve is flipped. To see if one of these is true, try it on a hot water setting to see if cold water comes in, or try just swapping the water hoses.

try taking off the hoses and maybe the screens on the washers for the hoses are plugged

Sounds to me like your water valves in the back are going bad, just had it happen on mine the other day, I bought one online for like 15.00 that was new solinoid valves for both hot and cold water. took about an hour to install with no instructions (take the old one out, new one hooks up the same way) or call the washer repair people.
