It sounds like the problem could be caused by the fact that the heating element, or the hot water sensor, has failed so that the washer will not proceed with the wash program until the water is up to the correct temperature. You should be able to easily tell if the element is getting hot. You could try manually putting in hot water before the washer fills up with cold to see if the wash then proceeds which will mean that the heating element needs replacement.

How can you drain a Maytag Atlantis that has suddenly stopped working with a full load of water and clothing

You will probably have to use a siphon. Any tubing long enough to reach the bottom of the washer tub with the other end lower than the washer tub.

A garden hose would work.

Place one end of the hose on the bottom of the tub, make sure you have a bucket or a run-off area to hold the water.

Suck on the other end of the hose until the water has begun to fall over the top of the washer then place the end of the hose you were sucking on in the bucket or lay it on the run-off area.

What does the red light descaling prompt light stay on? how can i know i have everything possible?

Hi,
Fill it up the tank with descaler and start the machine on descaling. Leave it to trow all the liquid and must finish to the bottom, leave the machine to get AIR when descaler finished. Then the machine will stop and will tell you to put fresh water to clean . Fill the water tank to the MAX level and continue with the program. When the water is on minimum ,machine will stop, and the descaling process must be finished.
Good luck

After sitting for a week my new Ariens 22hp B&S won't start , no gas, tank full spark is good

Does it poot and ****? That's water in the gas.
You got spark - so no gas is correct, otherwise it would go - Maybe you have water in the tank and the carb. Gas tanks and gas cans **** it in nightly. Moisture condenses and falls to the bottom of the tank. Try a little
starting fluid spray in the air filter area,

Asko dishwasher did not finish complete washing cycle and now has a very low humming sound. It will not start washing cycle. I have turned it on and off but after I turn it back on humming sound...

Some wash water may have gotten into the bottom pan area below the wash tub. If water has overflowed from the tub into the bottom pan, the drain pump will activate and remain active until water has been removed from the bottom pan. To check for this, the lower front panels will need to be removed. With power turned off at the breaker, a wet-vac can be used to remove water from the bottom pan. If there was water there, check the door seals, door closure and make sure the drain hose has a high-drain loop. If the drain is shared with the kitchen sink, it may simply have backed up into the dishwasher through the drain hose when a full sink was emptied. The best drain system is for the dishwasher to have its own separate drain.

Inglis top load washer smells

Hi Nyree,
Check the center of the agitator, where you add softener.
Remove by pulling up. It will be full of old softener.
It may be necessary to remove the whole agitator ( set screw on bottom).
The inside also gets full of old softener.

Good Luck.

Keurig troubles

Mine started off this way, then quit running any water through the K-cup. I overcame the with a reusable K-cup. If it will run a full cup through without a K-cup in place, this will probably work. They are available online and at some national chain stores for about $15.00. It's a little more inconvenient than K-cups, but better than throwing out a $150 coffee maker.
