The water filter should be changed every six months, not two years. The water lines may still be frozen even though you turned the unit off, but most likely you are not getting water flow due to a clogged filter. Change it.
check and see if there is a built in filter pack inside the back of the fridge or it could possibly be that one of the lines has froze internally and or the open close valve at the water inlet inside has worn out
First the arm has to be in the down position. It sounds like you said theres water in the ice maker. If thats the case then it should have frozed. The ice cannot drop unless the ice maker heater comes on. Then the ice maker scoops the ice and drops into the resoviour thingy. If you have ice in the ice maker tray but no ice in the bucket then the ice maker is defective.
. If you don't hear the water inlet valve on the back of fridge, the dispenser
switch is bad. You
have two points where you can check the dispenser water. At the rear where the
water supply comes in is the water inlet valve. If you disconnect the dispenser
water line and then see how fast the water comes out when you try the
dispenser. If it's slow here there is a valve our water supply problem. If it's
normal, disconnect it at the bottom of the freezer door and try again. If it's
normal here it may be frozen in the door. If this is the case open the door
till it thaws. A blanket over the opening will prevent thawing of all the
food.
either the water valve is bad or the ice maker is bad.... only way to tell which is bad is 1. jump the water valve with 110 volts or advance the ice maker and check for 110 volts at the water valve you will have to sit there a while doing that
It could be one of two things. The fill cycle could be too long causing the water to overflow or the icemaker may not be ejecting all the cubes out of the tray. A normal fill cycle is very short. Maybe 6 seconds long. So I would check and see how long the fill cycle is and when it stops check and see how much the tray is filled with water. I would also check and make sure that all the ice cubes are ejecting next time you hear it harvest.
