I have a sony wega tv model # kv 36 fs 120 cant get it to come on the standby/timer light blinks 9 times. this all happened after a brief 5 min power outage.whats wrong and can you tell me how to fix it

Use a hair dryer on the back right side of unit. Humidity sensor may be causing the unit to stay off. The hair dryer may also remove dust causing a false humidity detection

Need to check D647 which is a diode sony part number 6-500-567-01 even if it checks good probley need to replace. Also need to check Q 691 part number 2SA933AS-QT which is a transistor may check good but should replace, it crosses to a ecg part number 290A . Also should check D 645 which is the same part as D647 it looks like you cand use a ECG diode part number 552 for theses diodes. If u dont know anything about tv repair u might want to take to a shop for repair. There is high voltage inside your tv that can hurt you, if you are going to try and do this yourself then be sure and unplug the tv from ( AC ) still there is a good chance that there is still high voltage in the set even after you let it sit unpluged for a day or longer.

I have a Sony SRS BBE Trinitron (WEGA). The last few days when I tried to turn it on using the remote the Red Light would go on but the TV did not turn on. I would have to press the power button again to turn it on.. I tought the remote battery was just low.

Today when I tried to turn it on nothing is happening and the Red Light is blinking 9 times ??? I tried to unplug it and try it again, still does the same thing ???

We need help...
