Oh my! If it looks like a starburst or something very odd she may have damaged the front screen unit----called a display panel----if this is the case you are finished---fatal case.
If you post a good photo of it here or elsewhere where I can see it (Photobucket or Facebook with a link) I can tell if I see it if this is the case.
The screen units are extremely fragile and I have seen one destroyed by a small child gently slapping the screen......
go into safe mode and restore system default or restore system files. if this dont help chose the last option.
power it off hold to power on continue to hold til powers off again, hold to power on continue to hold 5sec it will beep then 2sec later double beep let go and your in safe mode if you dont see this on the screen then its another issue with the tv or cables.
the both screens on my phone will randomly scramble up or go completely blue.
