There are buttons on the screen for setting the shape, the size, the position and many others settings. I suggest to get to factory defaults with these buttons and then try to make any adjustments. In case you have problem with these buttons post me back to locate them for you from the user manual.

I am having a similar problem. I've tried to use the buttons on the front of it to adjust it. But the width will not expand beyond 1/3 of the screen - so everything is terribly tall and skinny. I've tried a dozen or so combinations - but none of them seems to allow for a reset to factory defaults.
These buttons are for small corrections for the screen. Since you have missing 2/3 of the screen I suggest you to set your monitor's resolution and refresh rate one step down (at least). Click on start - settings - control panel - screen - settings (the resolution at this panel must NOT exceed 1024X768 for this specific screen) - for advanced users - screen - refresh rate (set it at 50 or 60 Hertz) and click apply - ok. Check the results. The problem must be gone.

Okay, that seemed to be helping. Esp the changing the refresh rate - unfortunately, I believe I have bigger problems. I looked up and saw smoke coming out of the monitor as I was working on it. So now it is cooling off on the fire escape. Next stop, dumpster.
