Palm treo my treo will not get any service any where, it also says no sim card inserted but my contacts still appear

Four things it could be are:
1. You are in an area that doesn't provide service for the sim card you have inserted.
2. There is a bad connection inside the phone between the antenna and the main board.
3. If it is locked for a network and a different network's sim card is inserted it may cause this problem.
4. A problem with the main board or the firmware could be the culprit.

Unfortunately, unless you have experience with these phones it will be difficult to diagnose which is your problem.

Hi, not really familiar with Plm devices but insert your sim in to the palm go to contacts and look for Copy to sim or something similar. Sim cards have limited memory,varying from 100 to 250 contacts and 30 to 50 sms.Last would be one by one.

palm treo 755p doesnt have a sim card tray!

If the phone is new to you, (different story if it was working on cingular before .. let me know if it was)
It sounds like it is sim locked, the phone needs unlocking.
If you can contact the previous owner and ask them what network it was on and borrow a sim card from that network it will verify the phone isn't faulty or blocked
The previous owner may be able to get it unlocked for you via there provider else somewhere like www.650unlock.com will do it for about $15 (I'm not recommending them, just one of the first in a search) Its worth googleing "treo 650 unlock" and shopping around also check 650 forums for recommendations

Im not sure about your model but, select them all first and then add to sim?

You might need a program todo it for you thought.

On my device, I simply select the contact or contacts and then select save to sim.

your treo might also have a program for just this purpose.

But I just select the contacts, then hold stulys down untill the menu comes up and simply select save to sim. It can be difrent on your model.

The phone may not be compatible with cingular service.

The SIM card is dirty or scratched.

Try taking the SIM out and wiping it with a dry cloth... then insert it back in firmly. If that does not work, you may need to replace the SIM card, or find a way to get it to press itself more firmly against the phone.
