What is the proper grind for a Keurig reusable filter? I just tried the standard store-bought Dunkin Donuts, and all the water pours out around the filter and I get no coffee. Thank you

SOURCE: BT10B Coffee Maker: When I use Dunkin Donuts coffee in my Bunn coffee ...

Dunkin Donuts is a finer ground coffee and the water comes through so quickly that it isn't absorbed quick enough so you don't get the full flavor and it causes an overflow. If you will call Bunn Customer Service, a new flow restrictor can be sent to you to resolve this problem.

SOURCE: my k cup reusable coffee

I had the same issue and found a **** fix that is working well. The issue is that the hole in the my-kcup doesn't seal to the machine so I take a square of foil and put it over the top of the closed my-kcup assembly, crimping it under the rim of the cap. This seals the assembly and forces the water through the my-kcup. It also makes a better cup of coffee because the water is all going through the grounds.

there are three things that will cause grounds in the cup. 1. In using the reusable filter the top is not tight or the cup has too many grounds. Either will cause the filter to overflow into the space around the top. 2. the outlet hole at the bottom of the holder is clogged. Take a small paper clip and run it through the needle at the bottom of the holder. 3. The coffe beans are ground too fine and clog the filter. This forces the grounds out the top. PS. I just thought of another - if the reusable filter is put in the regular holder with the punch it will damage either the punch needle making it harder for the water to get out that way, or it will put a hole in the bottom to the reusage fiolter, which will also cause grounds to escape.

LIKE DRINKING WATER WITH A HINT OF COFFEE

You have 3 selections, thus use #1 or #2 for a stronger brew. Naturally the water levels will differ. Get a Reusable Kcup device and pack your own coffee for better results. Get fine ground coffee or grind your own, and then pack the Kcup reusable with your grinds. A fast hot water flow is excellent.

When i use my reusable k cup, water comes out all over

Use the $15 reusable Kcup with a rubber seal ring. If the lid is not down and sealed it will over flow with grinds. Press down firmly after filling with grinds. Also, clean tubes Top/Bottom with a paper clip to free them from debris that clog the tubes. Use distilled water also.

COFFEE MACHINE KEEPS FIL;LING UP AND OVERFLOWS. tHIS IS A BUNNOMATIC MODEL STPF-15

Dunkin Donuts decaf coffee clogs the filter as the water fills the basket causing the basket to overflow. The coffee is ground too fine. Swtich brands or use a second filter to cover the coffee grounds to keep them from floating and clogging the filter.

Try taking the filter out, and turn the sprayhead off the unit. Put the basket back on, and try pouring clear water through the unit. If the water runs through fine, you either have a plugged sprayhead or are using too finely ground coffee. Look at the holes in the sprayhead, and make sure that none of the holes are plugged. If the basket still overflows, try using a drill bit to make the hole in the funnel a little larger. Good luck.

Coffee grounds overflow out of basket into top of coffee pot.

Coffee overflowing onto the counter is a common complaint found in response to many automatic drip coffee makers. The following are potential solutions that can be used to rule out "operator error" vs. a defect or malfunction:

1. Do not "pack" or otherwise overfill the cone/basket with grinds.
2. Ensure you are using the correct grind for an automatic drip coffee maker, neither too fine nor too course. (See instruction manual.)
3. Do not overfill with water. Use the carafe to pour water into the reservoir. This is because a "cup" in coffee terms is defined as 6 oz, not 8 oz. Note: Some coffee makers define as little as 5 oz as a cup.
4. Make sure the filter cone/basket clicks into place and that the carafe is centered and pushed all the way in.
5. Try a permanent filter rather than a paper filter or vice versa.
6. Only use the correct permanent or paper filter (see manual).
7. Verify that the Pause 'n Serve button isn't sticking. If it is activated too long the brew will escape over the top of the cone/basket. This may be more apt to happen if the alignment of the carafe and the basket is incorrect.
8. Clean your machine with vinegar or as instructed by your user manual at least three times per year, more if your water supply is hard. A properly cleaned machine is less likely to suffer a burned out heating element, to take too long to brew, to produce "off" tasting coffee, or to clog and overrun the filter basket as the water runs through the grinds.
9. Ensure that the coffee machine is sitting level on the counter.
