SOURCE: connect belkin f5d7130 to homehub 1.5

You need to connect all pc's and homehub to a switch so they can talk to one another. Then use the AP as a wireless access point to connect all wireless laptops, and connect the AP to the switch with ethernet cable, and you have a network. Just make sure that only your HH or AP supplies IP addresses or they will clash.

SOURCE: AP is broadcasting SSID but can't get ip address

It sounds like either a faulty cable, a loose cable (i.e. not plugged in securely), or failed autonegotiation, or the port on the switch or WAP has somehow become disabled. Since that model of WAP has auto-crossover capability, using a crossover or regular network cable would be irrelevant. What kind of switch are you plugging it into? Cisco switches, for example, can have MAC restrictions or othe security features. I would replace the cable with a known good one first, and examine the log on the WAP as well as the switch (if it's a manageable switch). Let me know how you make out and we can do some further testing if you'd like.

I have an iPod Touch and I have been trying hopelssly to connect to the wifi. I have a BT Voyager 2110 router. I have been putting in the right password and it even says I am connected as it has a tick...

Well... since you said PLEASE help!

So what is the IP Address that the iPod Touch gets? Does it match with what range the BT gives out?

Does anything else connect through that router successfully?

You might try changing the WEP, WPA, WPA2 that you are using ... see if that helps the iPod touch to connect. I've seen where certain computers, etc. do not like WPA or WPA2 or certain passwords or key codes.

Connecting Ipod touch 8(GB) to Wi-fi

Hi,
I want to tell you that there might be two problems for your concern.

1. Your router is not working properly
2. Your Ipod Touch is not working properly

But it might be possible that both devices working fine just the compatibility issue.

First of all i can suggest you that you can upgrade the firmware for your router.

Then you can reconfigure your wireless setting on your router.

Then tried to put static ip on your ipod touch in the network setting option

IP address: 192.168.0.15
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1

Primary DNS: 192.168.0.1
Secondary DNS: 4.2.2.2

Then tried again to connect wirelessly with your ipod touch make sure you dont required to add mac address for you ipod touch and also you can click on the option called "Wireless Access Point"

Then you can see the option " Turn Access Control On" you can uncheck this option.

Try again i believe that will resolve your concern.

Thanks & Regards

Reset AP-700 failed

Simple solution, firstly do not press the reset button to long as it will erase all software, or you will have to do this the hard way. google the software called ScanTool run that from either ethernet or wireless, this tool shows you the AP-700's ip, mac, and name (some techs run these AP's coadjacent so it shows the name as well). You can change the ip of the AP-700 from here most of the time with the proper pass, then you should be able to connect to it regardless. if this dont help ... Proxim/Support/AP700 you will find more of an in depth approach of these things there.
