Problems downloading pics

I am having problems downloading my pics from my kodak easy share C613. I did it once and it was real easy. Now it just wont do anything. I plug the cable into the camera and to the usb port on my computer and nothing happens. When i did it before it immediately came up on the camera screen and said transferring pictures and even told me what % was done. Now when I plug it in it doesnt do anything and the camera screen stays black. What am I doing different this time? Or what am I doing wrong? Its really frustrating. Im a camera idiot and I got this camera because I thought it would be easy, hence the name easy share. Please help.

I had the same problem. First go to your Control Panel >Add Remove Programs > Unistall Kodak Easyshare Software. This software hijacked all my camera associations. Once it is uninstalled:

reboot your system
Plug in the USB cable
Turn the camera power on
Your Computer should auto install the Camera
Then select your camera software (I just use the Microsoft Camera and scanner wizard)

Hope this helps and hope this works for you.

Skip the whole process and buy a sd memory card reader-it's plug and play- no software and will save your batterys when you download-they work great and bypass the issues your having-plug into usb port and will download to xp or vista

Kodak easy share C613 Clear/close up

There is usually a setting on the camera that is for closeups. It may be like a flower image or something on the little wheel at the top you have to set it on. I would suggest looking it up in your owners manual.
