I installed Quartz countertops. How do I mount my dishwasher so it doesn't tip forward? I ordered some side mounting brackets from Sears where I bought the dishwasher they were suppose to be for my model but they will not work with my dishwasher. My model # is MDB4621AWBO SER# FW4411479

Your dishwasher may have a "side mount" and you may be able to screw it into the sides of the cabinet, if not, you will need to find out how to attach the brackets to your dishwasher (they usually slip into a groove in the top of the dishwasher, bending the tab over once slipped in will prevent it from coming out again.) If the brackets are for another dishwasher, you will need to order the correct brackets for yours.

Hello, This dishwasher has the ability to be mounted to the cabinets on either side of the dishwasher.the mounting brackets can be moved to each side. If it must be mounted to the counter top, the mounting tabs can be bent by hand and it will break the front part of the mounting tab. This will shorten the mounting bracket. If you have granite counter tops do not attempt to drill into to the granite counter call a granite fabicator. The leveling feet are hexagon shaped at the top of the of the leveling leg. Remove the front lower toe kick panel. This will allow access to the top of the leveling legs,then use a small cresent wrench or a socket and rachet.Hope this helps.Joe Connolly

Hello Mariebyrne, Solution 1: Call granite fabicator to mount dishwasher to granite top. 15 mins for them solution 2: Check sides of dishwasher for cabinet mounting (side mount). Open door to diswasher look at each side (in front of the door seal) about halfway down there will be some small round button looking plugs. If you see these plugs the mounting brackets need to be moved to the side position.the dishwasher will need to be pulled forward about 6 inches.after the brackets are moved position the dishwasher to where you want it. Remove plugs and screw in to cabinet. Replace plugs and your done. Hope this helps

no,,the seal that fits on the top snaps on from the front and you have to lift top mounting brackets up than kind of work the two brackets back down,,or you can just unclip the mounting bracket .snap top seal than than put brackets back,,clip hold the seal down some,,,those side and top seal are mostly to stop a person from cutting ther hand if unit is pertruding a little...now to make dishwasher reach the counter when legs are down all the way..get to peices of wood the lenght of unit front to back just short of front toe panel..i cant help with thickness because you have to measure the gap from counter,,some times i find that the wooden slats that came with the dishwasher works great...good luck..anymore ideas needed just repost

Its completly normal for the dishwasher to steam during the cycle. Some manufactures make a steam guard which is a piece of stainless steel and mounts to the underside of the countertop where the dishwasher is installed to prevent the steam from ruining the countertop. If ya can find a piece of stainless steel to mount there it will deflect the steam.is needs to be stainless since regular steel isn't stainless and would rust over time. Perhaps plexiglass would work too.

There is a hole on each side of the dishwasher about 6" down from the top and in-front of the rubber door seal, with round plastic covers in them. Just pop those covers out and the side mounting brackets align with those holes and the screws go into the wood frame. You may have to put some small blocks of wood on the wood frame to take up some of the space between the side of the dishwasher and the cabinet frame. Be sure to drill pilot holes for the screws to avoid splitting the wood.

are there not any tabs at the top of the dishwasher to mount it to the underside of the countertop? Most dishwashers mount this way to keep them from wanting to tip over.

There is now a universal dishwasher bracket for just this problem called E-Z DISHWASHER BRACKET. It is available through Braxton-Bragg or ask for it at a local granite fabricator. It is very simple to use.
