I was currently playing COD modern warfare and when i turned the ps3 back on abt 5:30ish, on the top right corner said "signed out from automatic sign in, wrong username or password" when I went to type in my password it kept showing wrong username and password. I then went on to "fogot password" from there a message shows "an error has occurred (80023017). i have been trying since to put in the right password in but this error keeps on poping back up.

setup ps3 account to log in automatically then ... if you connect via a network cable :unplug the network cable before starting game, then once in plug it back in.if you connect by wireless : turn off hub, start game turn hub back on. Wait to see your account login in top right corner then start playing normally. Activision still need to fix this so you dont have to faf about.
go to the play stations web site to find out what the code means.
if your ps3 has a message of trophy registration error sony will say you need to turn in your ps3 for service this is not true i fixed mine by saving my game data on a thumbstick then deleted the game save data shut off my ps3 then turned the main power (the switch in the back) off for a few minutes to allow the power to dissipate. Then i restarted the ps3 copied my game save data back and my COD modern warfare 2 played like a champ! i did lose all of my trophies but the game saved data allowed for 12 percent of them to come back apon completing one special op mission.
I need help too, my when i turn on the Ps3, it runs normally, but the system doesn't acknowledge there is a disc in it. When i eject the disc and put it back in, it reads and i start it up, but about 30 seconds into start up, the game freezes. I already reset the system & recovered memory. Any suggestions?
psn is under routine maintenance and will be back up and running soon same problem i have and i called sony and thats wat they told me... pretty much all games are down right now....
I have had the same problem in the past all i did was sign myself out of the ps3 and signed in again, if that didnt work i dissconnected myself from the internet and connected back
try changing the resolution settings on the ps3 itself to match your tv because if the tv cant handle 1080p then dont set it to it, going into a game changes the resolution to mach the games rated one
Nope you sure dont! just sign into the name that you bought the map packs on. go to playstation store, then on the top right hand corner go to view downloads, scroll until you find the packs and re-download them!
