I have just bought a Tom Tom GO910 second Hand it worked fine on first trip connected to car charger, On return trip I lost the screen picture and cannot get it back. I have not yet been able to create backup files as it was not charged. I have tried using the reset button ,but all I get is the green charging light to come on.Ive tried holding down on /Off button for 5 seconds nothing happens.

Hi my tomtom 910 go wont switch on ], but when useing the charger the little green light lights up and will stil not switch on ive tries the hard resetting and does not work

I've had a similar problem on 2 TomTom 910s.
First, try holding in the reset button while holding the power switch down for 5 seconds.

If that doesn't work, let it charge for 12 hours and while it's still charging, hold the power switch down for 5 seconds.

It worked for me on both

Good luck

Tomtom go 910

I have seen the green screen problem a few times before and this was caused by corrupted data / software or an error in booting up.
If you can't turn any TomTom off then perform a reset by inserting a paper clip into the rest hole and give 1 short press of the reset button ( it's a tactile switch so you should feel it click ) then try switching the TomTom on again the normal way. ( reset buttons are normally found through a small hole underneath the TomTom ).
If the TomTom does switch on but continues as before with the loading up problem , then it's best to format and reload all files from your backup copy.
A RED CROSS indicated a loading fault / corrupted files / incomplete files / corrupted or damaged media . ( media , meaning SD card or hard-drive )

Red x on tomtom 910

I discovered that there was a file on the 910 called CLMDATA which was corrupt. When I deleted this in Windows explorer, the unit started up and worked OK. This file is recreated when the unit starts up.
