Sounds like the powersupply is faulty. If it used to work for a moment then the picture dissapeared, and then if you turned it off and back on, the picture returned for a moment.
That would indicate a power supply issue, in that case it would definitely be a bad electrolyte capacitor or two. In your case I'm not sure but its either the power board or then there is something more complex wrong on the smaller mainboard inside the lcd back cover.
have you tried using the monitor as the main display, alone? any change there?
I have tried that with ng response. I decided to get new monitor. Thanks for your help.
