Most motherboards have at least a header connector for attaching a parallel port that mounts in a card slot cover. If there is no parallel port at all have a look at this (assuming you have a free pci slot)

They have a dual port one for 5 dollars more.

Stuck mother board hp pavilion 764c

Check to see if the ports themselves are screwed to the back panel of the case. I don't know about your specific model but usually if you get all the screws it should lift out no problem. Also, you should not need to remove any motherboard components to get at these screws, they should all be visible.

Mb password lost

Only solution is to buy, or make on your own, a parallel port password removal key. You can probably get a cheap one on eBay for around $10, or make one using an old, parallel printer cable. The wiring schematics is available for free (just google it). Plug the key into the parallel printer port, turn on the laptop, and the CMOS password will be removed.

Burnt out power board

Hello,

I sympathize with your problem, but I think you are knocking at the wrong door. You should contact your local Packard Bell dealer.

Hope it helps

Sirs, how to add another parallel printer port?

There's a request you don't see very often!!

You can add an expansion card with a parallel port on it. Here's one you can get online for $19.95.
