SCROLL_LOCK, SCROLL_LOCK 1 and so on - so SCROLL_LOCK, SCROLL_LOCK 2 for port 2 and so on - tends to be the default for BELKIN KVM switches.
For DAKOTA SCOUT, try CTRL, CTRL. This might get you to the control panel. If the switch has previously been set up then you should be able to use the UP, DOWN arrow keys, as appropriate and follow by ENTER to select the machine you want. If the switch has not been set up then repeat the CTRL CTRL again - and this should get you to the main menu from where you can set up the switch

Do you know which model you have? Most KVM's switch by hitting Scroll-Lock twice kinda fast and then the port# you want to switch to. In your case it would be 1 or 2. If that doesn't work let me know what model you have and I will give you a definate solution

Try tapping the scroll lock key twice and then the up or down arrows, or tapping the scroll lock key twice and then the "s" key to auto scan.
