I do have the Ruud split unit. My drain line was clogged and when I cut the line at the unit alot of water ran out. Could that of caused it to stop working. The fan will come on but I get no response out of the outside compressor. Is there a fuse that could have blown?

Check for some type of float switch in the condensate pan. It will shut down the unit to prevent more condensate but I am not sure if it would still allow the indoor fan to run.

How do i stop the leak on my panasonic air conditioner

You need to blow out the drain hose, it's clogged. You can use a water hose to flush out the line.

Water leak

The most common reasons for water leaking from the unit are:
1- Condensate drain line clogged, needs cleared.
2- System is freezing up, causing excessive water to overflow, check filter, fan motor, thermostat, and batteries.
If there is ice on the lines on the indoor or outdoor unit, the system is frozen. If it's a charging issue, make sure system is thawed completely before calling anyone. They will not be able to do anything until system is thawed out and will cause you to wait longer.

I have a Ruud Model UBHC-17J11NFD in my basement. Water is coming from the bottom of unit and pooling onto the basement floor. What should I check first?

Hello, most likely you have a clogged condensate line, in order to clean it you will need a wet/ dry vac and attach it to the outlet of the line and the suction pressure should dislodge the clog. Also, if the unit uses a condensate pump make sure it is working, if its not it can cause water to pour out onto the floor.

Water building up in drain pan.

Is this a split unit? The drain line is probably clogged. If you have a shop vac you can use it on the drain line outside and clear the clog or maybe use something like drano. A little Clorox added to the drain pan every now and then will help keep the drain line from getting clogged. (Just a couple tablespoons)

Air Conditioner (RUUD model: UBHC-14J06NFD) is leaking water from bottom. It is causing a major puddle in Air Intake area.

The condensate drain line/pan is clogged causing the condensation to overflow the pan.

The easy way to fix that is attatch a powerfull wet/dry shop vac to the end of the drain line and such out whatever is causiing the clog. Also take off the panel to the evaporator coil and clean out the pan with the shop vac.

To double check that the clog has been removed, pour a gallon or two of water into the pan and ensure that it is draining properly.

Tempstar central air conditioner The AC unit is not comin on How can you tell if the unit is bad

check to see if you have a safety cut off switch installed on your inside unit's drain line. if so, pull it out or unscrew it they are easy to access the little float switch that will cut your unit off if the drain line is clogged.

most of the time this is the cause of a unit not doing anything at all.

if this does not work the next step, if nothing is happening at all, is to open the inside unit and check for control voltage (24v).
