Hi

Remove the battery from your phone. Slide off the back cover of your phone to get to the battery. Gently lift the battery from its compartment to remove.

Insert the SIM card into your phone. Once your battery is removed, insert the SIM card into your phone. Look at the image on the phone to see how to insert the SIM card correctly. Make sure it is pushed all the way into place.

Replace the battery and turn on the phone. Replace the battery back into its compartment and replace the back cover. Turn on your Nokia 2610 phone, and it should boot up. The name of your wireless provider will appear when your phone is turned on.

Allow time for your phone to read the SIM card. Once your phone is booted up, it will say initializing. This means that it is reading your SIM card information. Once your SIM card is read, your phone will go to the home screen. Your SIM card is now activated, and you should be able to access all of your information.

WHEN I ENTER SIM card in my sumsung mobile Gt- E2550 then they are asking for the PIN number. what is the PIN number ofr it?

Hello there,

If your Sim card is asking for pin card, it simply means there is a pin meant to be entered before you will be able to access the sim card.

If the default pin have not been changed at any point in time, it simply will be the pin that is present on the sim pack. At the back of the sim pack, there are some codes there, check for the pin code there, enter it into the phone where you are supposed to enter the pin number, it will accept it and you will have access to your sim card.

But if it does not accept it, then it means the pin number of your sim card have been changed and if you do not have the new one, you will have to contact the help center/ customer care of your sim cards service provider, they will give you a factory reset pin for your sim card.

Hope this was helpful to you.

Samsung puk code and pin number

Lisa, PUK codes and PIN codes are not associated with phones. Rather, they are a function of your network. That is to say, they are related to your sim card.
Pin codes are a range of 4 to 6 digit numbers initially assigned to your sim to enable you lock and unlock it. You could change this to digits of your choice.
PUK codes are some 10 digit code, also assigned to your sim card by your network providers, (but which unlike pin codes can't be changed).
If in the event of trying to enter your PIN, you enter the wrong number 3 times in a row, your sim would be blocked, and would prompt you for your PUK code.
The correct PUK code must be entered, because after the 10th wrong attempt, you line would be blocked permanently.
Now, if you check your original sim certificate, you would find both your PIN and PUK. But in case you cant find it, contact your network providers, they should provide you with the codes, and when they do, write it down and keep somewhere safe.

I hope that helped?
Have a lovely day.

. Whilst trying to create a PIN code, it stopped

Hello,

The problem is that while creating a new pin code, you entered the wrong initial pin and it was entered 3 time, so it blocked your line.

The PUK code is 8 digit code that is on the main card that your sim card was taken from. When you bought your sim card, you had your sim card in a sim carrier, the service manual and it comes in a sealed pack.

On the carrier that the sim was removed, you have your PUK number, on some it is written as PERSONAL UNBLOCKING KEY, that is the key you need to enter on your phone, then you follow the rest of the intructions that will be given to you after entering the PUK.

Take care

Sim lock

Complete information :
The SIM card protects your subscription and not the phone from unauthorised users. If you change SIM cards you can still use your phone with a new SIM card. Most SIM cards are blocked at the time of purchase. If your SIM card lock is on you have to enter your PIN (Personal Identity Card) every time you turn on the phone.

If you enter the wrong password three times in a row the SIM card gets blocked. This is indicated by the message PIN Blocked To unblock this you need to enter your PUK

Note:

card (Personal Unblocking Key). Your PIN and PUK is supplied by your service provider. You can edit your PIN and select a new four to eight digit number
  • If the Message Codes do not match appears when you edit your PIN you entered the new PIN incorrectly.
  • If the message Wrong PIN followed by Old PIN appears then it means that you have entered the old PIN incorrectly.

To unblock your SIM card:
  1. When PIN Blocked appears enter your PUK > OK
  2. Enter a new four to eight PIN > OK
  3. Re-enter the new PIN to confirm > OK

To edit your PIN:
  1. > Settings > the General tab > Security > Locks > SIM Protection > Change PIN
  2. Enter your PIN > OK
  3. Enter a new four to eight digit PIN to confirm > OK

To turn the SIM card On /Off
