your Samsung TV is experiencing issues such as sound but no picture, you can reset it by unplugging it and holding the power button for 30 seconds. If you're having issues turning your TV on, you may need to unplug it for 30 seconds and plug it directly into an outlet that you know works properly. You can also try pressing and holding the power button on your remote until the TV turns off and on again. If the issue persists, please contact Samsung Support for further assistance.

Line, faults & possible causes to LCD screen are given with illustrations.
The fault to your TV sounds like with its T'Con board. Contact any service technician.
hello. it sound's like you have a picture tube that is shorting out from a something arking in side of your set.!!! eather on the (CTR PIN COUSHION).!!! OR ON THS CHASSIE.!!! THAT WHAT MAKING IT DO THAT.!!! TIME TO GET A NEW SET.!!! HOPE THIS HELP'S YOU.!!! "GOOD LUCK"
Usually when a tv is dropped the phospher screen inside the picture tube will detatch making the rainbow color This cannot be fixed as it requires changing the picture tube. Only other thing is demagnatize it with a demagnitizing coil (used by tv techs) but not likely to fix it since it was dropped. You have a bad picture tube.
I have the same problem. Picture cuts out completely then back on. When I first turn it on, it does this constantly for about 15-20 mins, then about once every 30 mins or so.The sound is fine, but the picture just flashes on and off. The color is also starting to shift a lot and cannot be fixed by adjusting COLOR-BRIGHTNESS-PICTURE in the video control menu system. Nothing seems to correct this. I've even unplugged the TV over night to see if it needed some sort of reset. Model = KV-20FV12. Purchased in 2004 My connection is a direct cable connection - Comcast cable. Same problem persist while showing a DVD as well.
Your problem sounds like someone got a magnet too close to the CRT. This can be removed with a degauss coil (which you probably do not have) or it will eventually go away if your built in degauss circuit is working. Everytime you turn on the set the circuit degausses the crt so colors can be displayed properly. If the circuit is not working you will need to have a tech repair it.
