My 2000 saturn sl wont start. it has power everything lights up. But nothing when I turn key. Happen last week and started right up a day later. happened again last night and nothing again this morning.

There should be a small black wire going from the battery to the starter motor. It sounds as though it has come loose. Check it and re connect it. I hope this works. Good look

When key is turned the starter is energized by a solenoid that applies power directly from the battery to the starter. Any loose connection will prevent the starter from turning over. The solenoid can also have burnt spots on the contacts inside case that will prevent current from getting to the starter. A click noise is the solenoid energizing so
if all connections are tight and the battery is good the only
other problem is the starter may be bad. Brushes on the
starter may have seen their life ended. this is usually identified by tapping on starter with a hammer while trying to start engine. If starter spins, replacement is needed.
Could be starter, battery, battery cables, security key system module going bad, etc.
Check easiest things first. Battery condition and age, condition of cables, and connections at starter.
You'll need to crawl under the car and check for power on the small terminal of the stater with the key in the crank position.
Knowing if you have power there will help to give you a direction to go in.
If you don't have a test light or a multi meter, you can jump the large wire at the starter to the small wi at the stater with the key in the off position. If the starter works than you'll need to focus on wiring. If the starter doesn't work replace it.
You didnt list the type of car this is, the most common thing that causes this is the starter, i just had a saturn, the customer had the same problem we told her it may be the starter but cant be 100% sure until it actted up, she didnt want to replace it unless we were sure, so we kept and drove the car around for 5 days and finally the last day it didnt start and it was the starter , same problem turn key and nothing no noise and no start, i would have the starter replaced and go from there, its a mater of time before the car just wont start,hope this is helpful.
yes, remove starter taka it to a service shop for servicing and checks , also check the condition of the battery,make shore it's holding charge and cells are ok.
If the problem occurs after the car has been driven long enough to reach normal operating temperature, the problem is the starter. If the 'no crank' occurs cold, retest the battery.
