Hello how do i format my pc its very slow and has problems with messenger i have xp home

Do you have external hard drives?
Have you added RAM?
-What browser are you using?
Version?
Add ons?
Does your Windows XP have all of the Service Packs?

Might want to check the ram. That will always make a PC run slow, but if you have a sufficient amount of ram I would say a gig for running xp. Then re-formatting and re-installing the OS will make the computer faster. Also some PC have a built in recovery partition.

It seems that installing windows XP have no problems
so, i guess the ( windows xp sp2 ) have have problems,
try other cd
It's better if you got XP SP3 insted of SP2, it's enhanced, and more secure.

This model is shipped with windows xp home and you will be having usb video device in my computer.Please turn it on from there and you can use camera.
While using third party messengers you have to initiate the camera from messenger.

what are your system specs? Try using registry booster and speed up my pc. Defragment your pc remove junk files etc!

Yes you can format the current partition your windows is on using the standard XP home disk and have a completly fresh clean XP install

If your starting the XP home CD in windows itself then you will get 2 options;
1 is to upgrade your current installation
2 is a 'New' installation

its the New installation you need...


If your starting the XP home CD from the CD boot menu [when you restard your PC] at the 3rd or 4th screen it will ask you the partition options;

1 is to 'Leave the current file system in tact'
2 is to 'Format (quick)'
3 is to 'Format'

you do not want option 1 that will keep all your old windows files etc [and the malware]

option 2 or 3 is what you need for a fresh install (2 is faster and will be fine for you)

Download Yahoo messenger again, but save it as a file first. Then install it from the saved file. I had the same problem on my XP SP3 Home edition

You cant load xp because it probably doesnt recognize some of the new hardware in your laptop. If vista works, then use vista, if it is too slow for vista, then use vista home basic. 

u dint formatt it then boot from xp cd fdel all partions then format it quick then rebot xp on k

u have to install the drivers one by one from respective installation discs or internet....to prevent this next time....once u install all drivers only...backup them using windows xp backup wizard...onto a disc...next time u after format ur pc...u can use this....
