Did you brush it out? Now, unplug and wait 15 seconds the plug in again. Totally rethread your machine and make sure the thread is not tangled. That should reset it. If not, call Brother at 1-877-276-8437

I have an e6 problem on my brother cs6000i sewing machine, it was smoking too, and it starts on its own. When i step on the foot pedal it suddenly starts beeping then it shows e6 then stops. What do I...

Try turning unit on with foot control unplugged. If it starts on it's own with foot pedal disconnected then internal board failure (smoke).

Brother E6 error?
A.
The upper thread could be tangled. Remove the upper thread and any loose threads. Raise the pressure foot, raise the needle to its highest position and rethread the machine.
Remove the bobbin and bobbin case to clean any lint or loose threads. Install the bobbin case so that the projection on it aligns with the spring. Then install the bobbin into the bobbin case.
The needle could be bent. Replace the needle making sure the flat side is facing the back.

After 3-4 stitches, machine shuts down. On display panel E6 show up.

Error codes are on page 62 of this manual.
It says " The motor locked up because the thread is tangled.
Remove the tangled thread before continuing operetion."
I would guess that this could happen for anything that would cause too much load on the motor.

E6. Motor locked up because the thread is tangled. I have re-threaded machine and bobbin; thread still tangles after 2 or 3 stitches. HELP!

In my Brother CE-4000, it appears as though the feed dogs (which you can change to a higher position or a lower position) are allowing the bobbin case to spin all the way around and then the needle hits the bobbin case. When the feed dogs are in the lowest position, the bobbin case does not spin all the way around when the needle moves up and down (and therefore the needle does not get stuck in the bobbin case. I am wondering if this is a problem with the feed dogs/case?

Thread breaks

Hi!

Check to see if the lower thread be tangled. Also, the bobbin could be threaded improperly in the shuttle hook. Rethread the bobbin in the shuttle hook.
How to detangle a thread---

  • When a machine stops operation due to tangled thread, do not turn the pulley by force.
If the pulley is turned by force then, lower thread might not be picked up correctly and stitches might not be formed correctly.

  • If threads get tangled, remove a needle plate and cut the tangled threads by scissors or cutter.
  • Do rate the solution if you find it helpful & useful.

    Thanks
