The LOT [Line Output Transformer] of your TV has damaged. It is the one, that supply all the voltaged needed to CRT. Its internal windings will get shorted in between, and is irreparable. Replacement is the only remedy to this proble. Replace the horizontal output transistor also with this. you haven't specified whether there is picture with your tV or not. If this high frequency sound is along with picture, there is some loose in the cores of the SMPS transformer, or LOT itsef. If there is no picture at all, and this high frequency sound is there, no doubt; LOT is damaged. OK.

Squealing is a bad wash motor- it will need replacing. Nothing is blocked here.

High pitch sound on LC-42D62 is reproduced by switching transformers on power supply board. To correct this problem, you will need to remove power supply unit from the TV, spray all transformers with SILICONE CONFORMAL COATING. Let it dry for 12Hrs. Then install power supply unit back.

Replace C602 on DVD board, noise on 10v line causing problem.

Can be either noisey yoke or noisey flyback transformer........T.

Seems like your television is doing the same thing as mine. I dont have a resolution but this may help from it clonking out completly. Leave it alone for now. My television started doing this months ago and I rarely even used it for the first two years due to deployment. One day it startd the high pitch, and i ignored it because i rarely turned it on besides when company came. About a month later it completly clunked out. Now i only get the green power light. NO pic, No volume or anything. Just that loud screech. Eventually it will go out, causing more problems. Usually you can go to a repair shop, get the piece name from them and then order and fix it yourself. The shop is going to do the same thing as you will, except charge you more for having ordereing it when you can do so yourself. Shops here charge about $60 bucks to let you know what it is... Shouldnt be a big change where you are.

High pitch noise is created mostly by a Coil or a transformer,is not easy finding the source if you are not familiar with this type of coil since there many sizes and shapes,the set needs to be on while trying to find wich part is doing it SO if you dont know where and how better call a Technician and you will be safe.
