Monitor not working

The monitor is defective and it needs to be repaired or replaced. Contact the place of purchase or the manufacture.

Any 15-inch CRT-style monitor should be replaced by a 15-inch or 17-inch LCD-style monitor. You can find "previously-owned" monitors for $30 to $50, which is less than taking your CRT monitor to a TV/video repair-shop for an *attempt* to get it repaired.

Not practical to spend money on 14" LCD panel on 4 years old monitor, it will caost more than 19" monitor.
Put the money toward new monitor, I will not even repair it myself if it were my.

It sounds like the monitor is shutting down after you have it on for a 1/2 hour or hour, is that right? If so, and you can turn the monitor off and back on, and it's ok again, that means you probably have a temperature problem with some component in your monitor. It will have to be serviced and troubleshot to get it working again. You can use it the way you're doing now, and it will probably work like that until you can get it fixed. Make sure you get an estimate from a repair shop first, because often the cost of repair can be almost as much or more than a new monitor. Good luck, and hope this helps.

there could be two possibilties for that
1 That your serial cable is not working or have broken pin .
&
2 Another is that you monitors picture tube has got damaged or burnt.

Usually it is second reason it can be repaired but is more expencive so i would prefer buying new one.

reduce the number of colors until you can get a resolution that works the monitor cant handle the number of colors and the number of lines of resolution this is a common problem with older monitors.

what power supply do you mean Sir/Ma'am.
is it the AVR (automatic voltar regulator)?
if its the AVR, just switch it on and check the output voltage with a multimeter (AC range 250)
you should see the voltage output nearly equal to your SERVICE AC voltage

15" Monitor warranty period 1 year from mfd date.

17" Monitor warranty period 3years from mfd date.

It is the problem of video amp. ic plz chage it.If only red colour is miss then check red driver transistor and cable

Your request for the exact problem will require a signal injector and use of an oscilloscope or even more test equipment. One possible cause is the contrast set to minimum.
