You may or may not have had this answered already, but her pack is the little card/cartridge that says... say lets play tea party on it

When Ally starts chanting "I need my pack", it can become your worst nightmare. I can't find "the pack" but I'm guessing it's the keypad that you plug into her wrist. My bet is the pin/plug connectors in these dolls were not super awesome quality wise and sometimes didn't register they were connected (the program cards were a bit glitchy as well). Once the batteries need replacing, the doll needs to be reprogrammed hence the keypad connection request. Just a guess...
Amazing allysen takes two sets of batteries. When you open up her back you will see where you replace 4 AA batteries. If you open up the littel doors UNDER the AA's there is a space for 3 AAA's. That might be a solution.
Ignore the place on the cover that looks like a fingernail slot. Flip it over and you will see two phillips head screws. take them loose. They dont have to come all the way out, just untill they wobble real good. NOW the other side cover with the slot will come right off. Hey look, BATTERIES.
I can tell you this if you find the switch that is on Amanda back this turns her on. You must be in a quiet room. You have to touch her one of her hands to make her speak. The right one should do the trick. This link has a lady talking about the doll and going through instructions setting up the doll. It seems like a pretty cool doll. http://www.archive.org/download/LarrySkutchanbct266AmazingAmandaDemo/bct266AmazingAmandaDemo.mp3
Easiest way to wipe clean the Bios password is as follows:
Perform a power drain by removing laptop battery pack and/or docking station power supply and hold power button down for 10 seconds
Locate the CMOS battery (usually under the smallest panel on the bottom of the laptop)
Remove CMOS battery for 20 minutes (20 is arbitrary can wait longer if you wish)
Replace CMOS battery and panel
Replace battery pack and/or replace to docking station
Power up
The Bios password should now be removed and you should be able to boot with no issues. Thank you for using Fixya and please remember to return to rate this answer. Greg
