My machine just stopped during the cycle, and displayed 'OE'. What does this mean? Why did it do it?

OE error code indicates that the washer is unable to drain the water it used during the wash cycle. OE can be triggered by a kinked drain hose or a clogged drain pump filter..... please clean drain hose back side of washing machine.. Thank you

LG washing machine error code OE. Error code OE on The LG washing machines simply means the pump is blocked. Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly you might have something blocking the pump.

The code OE is a draining error. The washer has sensed that the water has not completely drained all of the water within 10 minutes and will display this error code. The grinding noise you are describing is most likely a failed drain pump or clogged with foreign debris.

1. Locate your drain pump access door on the front of the machine.
2. Clean out the filter area.

If you are unable to resolve the issue by cleaning, I would recommend replacing the drain pump.

An OE error presents if the washing machine has not successfully drained the water in ten minutes. However, the OE error code does not always mean that the washer requires a service call. If periodic maintenance has not been performed on the washer, there are a few simple steps to take before calling for service. Clear the filter located on the bottom left on the face of the machine. It's the pump motor -Plug your machine and run a test cycle and check for some grinding noise. Pulled the pump out from under the washer instead of taking the whole thing apart much, much easier.

oe means drain error (outlet error)
Poss causes:
drain hose kinked,
filter blocked,
pump impellor blocked.

The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.
