What settings do I put my thule 515-5033 rack on for a toyota corolla 2005?

I have no experience with the rack, but it's possible that the knob is slipping where it connects to the bolt that actually secures the rack. You may have to cut off the knob to remove the rack. I would contact Thule or a local dealer for advice, though. They should be willing to help with a $400 rack.

It attaches to the factory roof rails if you have them. If your vehicle doesn't have those, then you need the gutter mount feet for your Thule rack.

Have you replaced the rack and pinion? How about the rack and pinion mount bushings?

Probably a fiberglass repair kit, available at most hardware stores. Let it cure longer than required prior to sanding. Then paint as required.
