My daughters insignia 2g Mp3 player won't stay charged. It won't even turn on while it is charging on the computer to show it has a connection, the screen is just black. The last time this happened we just left it hooked up to the computer and it took 4 days before the screen lit up to show it was charged. It is only 6 months old, is this a lemon or is this normal??? I on the other hand have a 4g insignia and it works great, I have not encountered this problem, but I always make sure it has a charge because I use it more often than my daughter. What is the problem?

Have you tried plugging in the unit to your PC and then pressing the reset button for 5 seconds?
Also, try removing the battery for 30 seconds, then replace and attempt to charge.
If these options don't work, it may be a hardware or battery failure and you should try to return it.
